Jeff Alling, MD

Dr. Alling attended Texas A&M College of Medicine. He graduated in 1987. He completed his residency at the University of Oklahoma Health Science Center. He is Board Certified in Family Medicine. He is a member of the American Academy of Family Medicine, Texas Academy of Family Medicine, Texas Medical Association and Christian Medical Society.
Dr. Alling began practicing in Decatur in 1990 and was a founding member of Wise County Medical and Surgical Association in 1996. He continues to enjoy practicing obstetrics and caring for entire families. He also serves as the Decatur Eagle team physician. Dr. Alling resides in Decatur, Texas and married Natalie in October 1988. He has four children; Nathan, Jonathan, Hannah, and Sarah. His hobbies/interests include his family and golfing.

Larry Cooper, MD

Dr. Cooper’s radiology practice is in a modern family-centered medical clinic where there is a full range of family medicine, obstetrics, and surgery.
With over 30 years of radiology practice, including x-ray, ultrasound, CAT scan, fluoroscopic and mammography experience, Dr. Cooper’s specialty experience adds an especially strong imaging consultation to our practice. His previous experience as a general practitioner in a small town in west Texas (Hale Center) before he specialized in radiology, gives him keen insight into clinical medicine that we greatly appreciate.

Brad Faglie, MD

Brad D. Faglie, MD received his Bachelor degree in Biology at Stephen F. Austin State University. He attended Texas A&M Health Science Center College of Medicine and then completed a family medicine residency with an emphasis on Advanced Obstetrics at Texas A&M Family Medicine Residency. Dr. Faglie is Board certified in Family Medicine and is a member of the American Association of Family Physicians, the American Medical Association, and the Texas Medical Association. He is currently serving as President of the Montague-Wise County Medical Association. He is a member of the medical staff of Wise Regional Health System and actively participates on the Ethics and Credentialing committee of the hospital.
Once diabetic and obese, Dr. Faglie now lives and teaches a philosophy of natural living and eating. He always strives to treat the ‘whole’ patient and encourages his patients not to limit themselves to the ‘normal’ way of eating and living. Dr. Faglie achieved much of his dietary success by questioning the accepted dietary norms and he encourages his patients to do the same.
Born and raised in Grapevine, TX, Dr. Faglie and his Wife and two children now reside in Alvord, Texas. His hobbies are expansive and include hunting, traditional archery, classical piano, literature, tobacco pipe making, and yoga. He is known for his comfortable and comic manner and makes a point to push for optimal communication with his patients.

Thomas Long, MD

With over 25 years of surgical and hospital practice experience, Dr. Long brings a full range of general surgical and vascular surgical specialty care to his patients. Dr. Long attended the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School from 1969-1973. He completed his residency at the University of Washington Affiliated Medical School in 1978.
Dr. Long is Board Certified in General and Vascular Surgery by the American Board of Surgery. He is a member of the American College of Surgeons; Texas Surgical Society; and Harkins Surgical Society. He has practiced at Wise County Medical & Surgical Association in Decatur, TX for the last sixteen years.
Dr. Long resides in Decatur, Texas and has been married to Ruth Ann for 41 years. He has three children: Russell, Steven and James. His hobbies and interests are golf, welding, and reading.

Thomas Steffen, MD

Dr. Steffen brings 37 years of experience in Family Medicine to the community. He served in the US Navy for over 40 years, a tour of duty in Vietnam and retired from the Naval Reserve in 2002. He is fluent in Spanish, enjoys flying his plane and loves to travel.
Dr. Steffen attended the University of North Texas in Denton earning his Bachelors degree and continued on to Tulane University in New Orleans, Louisiana to complete his Medical Degree. Upon completion of his residency at John Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Worth, Dr. Steffen opened his solo practice in Decatur in 1976. He later joined Wise County Medical and Surgical Association in 1996 to form a multi-specialty group practice.
With many years of medical outpatient practice, hospital patient care, and emergency room experience, Dr. Steffen brings a full range of medical care to his patients.

Shawn White, MD

Shawn White, MD attended the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School, graduating in 1994. He completed his residency at John Peter Smith Hospital in 1997.
He is Board Certified in Family Medicine. He is a member of Texas Medical Association and American Academy of Family Medicine. Dr. White’s practice is in a modern family-centered medical clinic where there is a full range of family medicine, obstetrics, and surgery.
Dr. White has been practicing at Wise County Medical and Surgical Association for thirteen years and The Jacksboro Clinic for 2 years. Currently, he is practicing in the Bridgeport and Jacksboro branches of our clinic. With over 13 years of medical outpatient, hospital, obstetrical practice and emergency care he brings a vast amount of experience to all our clinics. He provides the full range of direct patient care to all his patients.
Dr. White resides in Wise County, near the LBJ Grasslands. He has been married to Deborah for twenty years and has three children, Conner, Kaia, and Renae. His interests and hobbies include reading Sci-Fi/Fantasy material, Martial Arts, and being out in the woods.
